OMG, how did I end up here?

Welcome to the everyday musings of an aspiring blogger. I’m Tracy; proudly Canadian, endlessly curious, easily distracted, and usually one task away from actually being productive.

And before you ask…. this blog doesn’t have a niche. I know, apparently I’m supposed to pick one topic, build a content funnel, and become “the go-to expert” on… sourdough? capsule wardrobes? menopause? (honestly, good for those people). I just write about whatever I’m into at the moment, and forcing a theme would just not be me… so here we are.

That said, my interests do tend to circle the same things. On EverydayTRACY, you’ll usually find me writing about travel, food/cooking, fashion trends, and technology (usually AI, I’m obsessed), plus whatever random thought pops into my head while washing my hair, and won’t leave until I type it out. One week it’ll be a recipe that my family can’t get enough of, the next it’s a travel destination, a fashion find, or some AI thing I swear will make your life easier. And sometimes it’s just me sharing something that made my everyday life better…. because maybe it’ll do the same for yours.

A bit about me

I spent 20+ years in corporate tech, then took a sudden detour into fashion, because why not? Life is more fun with a little randomness, and I clearly enjoy learning things the hard way.

Even when I switched worlds, the tech part of my brain never fully shut up. Knowing how to clear a cache somehow earned me the title of “tech wizard” at work (a title I did not apply for, and would like to formally decline). And when our eComm team unexpectedly departed one day, I found myself stepping-in to manage the website and learn email marketing on the fly. Let’s just say it was a time of character-building.

Somehow, that chaos led me here: building the EverydayTRACY website (mostly just to see if I could), learning about blogging and SEO (yikes!), indulging my inner geek, and creating a space where all my interests can live together without needing to be sorted into neat little boxes.

Is there a point to all this?

All this to say, this blog and website are very much a work in progress, just like me. Stick around, laugh with (or at) me, and let’s “elevate the everyday” together (not in a “perfect life” kinda way, but in a real-life way, mess and all!).
